I can see Lyra and Ollie actually becoming really close friends. Oliver appreciates how sweet Lyra is, even if she’s very blunt sometimes, and she scares him a lot less than some people do. He also loves all her pets.

Ezra and Oliver are the most fucking adorable boys in the goddamn universe. It’ll be 100% love at first sight when they meet. No one has ever left Ollie so smitten before. He wants to sing Ezra to sleep every night, hold his hand everywhere they go, and curl up in his arms, knowing that’s where it’s safe and warm. Ezra is his sunshine, and he never wants that to go out.

If he didn’t have Ez, honestly Oliver probably wouldn’t end up with anyone. There’s no other dudes hanging around that are good enough for him.

Zia and Quy of course. Zia is the stable, loving person that Quy needs in their chaotic, alcohol-driven life. She wants to help them heal and just be happy, and in return all she asks is love and cuddles. It gives her life to make Quy smile.

Zia and Lyra would be kind of an odd pairing, considering how much Zia considers her a much younger sister (even though Lyra is much older), but in an alternate timeline, they could probably work together.

Probably Reyelle and Roman tbh. Not only is Rey a huge lesbian, but Roman is Big and Scary and any romantic interaction there at all would probably just be Weird and Bad.

My BROTP for them

Honestly, I can see Cordelia and Rey being really great friends once they get to know each other more. Rey thinks she’s a bit odd right now, but she likes that about her, and they’re both pretty happy people.

My OTP for them

REYELLE LOVES HER PIRATE WIFE OKAY. LET THEM BE HAPPY AND GAY AND IN LOVE. REY WOULD WANT TALIA TO SAIL HER SEVEN SEAS IF SHE KNEW WHAT BEING HORNY EVEN MEANT.

If she didn’t have her pirate wife, Rey would’ve probably ended up with her first and for a long time only friend tbh. They were very close, and could have easily gone from friends to lovers.

Naturally, Rey and Talia are also a super angsty pairing. Goes hand in hand with their mutual tragic backstories.

Trying to imagine someone else with Rey and Talia is hard, but maybe Rey’s old bff can get in on the action, too. Talia would get to cuddle up with two sofs then.

You know it has to be Rey and Gorb. This needs no further explanation.

In terms of a pairing that might actually work though, Rey and Cordelia could be a thing. It’s just odd to think about because Cordelia seems like such a young kid, but Rey is about her age by elf standards. I think they both like researching things enough that they’d bond easily.

Pipdiddle and Lyra. He was her first real friend and goddamn if he wouldn’t die for that tiny snowpea. Also Pipdiddle and Onin go way back. They’re both weird enough to get along flawlessly.

Alternate universe Ezra and Pipdiddle make best pairing. Pipdiddle gives Ezra all kinds of free magical shit to use in his shows and Ezra sucks his dick in return. Win-win.
